Regera versus Agera RS

The fastest Agera from Koenigsegg is by far not as fast as their new hypercar, Regera. Despite exterior and interior design similarities, and why not, similarities in the naming, they are completely different when you look at the powertrain.

Both vehicles have the same 5.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine which produces an astonishing 1100 hp and 1250 Nm of torque. But for Regera that's not enough, as it's got two more electric motors for each rear wheel and yet another electric motor mounted inside the crank. Combined, Regera gets a mind boggling 1,500 Bhp and 2000 Nm of torque.

One would think that all that non-traditional hybrid technology has added a significant weight to the hypercar, considering its fully robotized wings and doors. But the curb weight of Regera, with all the liquids added, is only 233 kg more than that of Agera RS's.

Comparing the exterior dimensions, we see that Regera and Agera RS have the same width, but Regera is slightly lower and significantly longer.
