Jaguar F-TYPE SVR versus Mercedes-AMG GT S
It seems like the most powerful Jaguar F-Type is a good match for Mercedes-AMG GT S. Despite some differences in power and drivetrain, both sportscars have close performance numbers and are priced in the same range: the F-Type SVR is priced $1,100 below AMG GT S's $129,900 starting price.
The F-Type SVR is powered by a supercharged 5-liter V8 engine that produces 575 horsepower and 516 lb-ft. That's more than 70 hp and 35 lb-ft more than what the AMG's twin-turbo 4-liter V8 delivers.
With more available torque at launch, and an all-wheel drive system, the Jaguar F-Type SVR beat's Mercedes-AMG GT S's 0-to-60 mph time by 0.2 seconds.
Comparing the power and performance, it is important to note that the Mercedes is longer and wider than its British competitor. Both front-engine coupes get the same 18 mpg on combined cycle.
When it comes to the interior, AMG GT S's "aviation design" brings futuristic looks and roominess over Jaguar's conventional interior.
