Mustang versus Camaro

51 years ago Ford launched the first Mustang, which quickly became a huge success. To which followed Chevy's introduction of Camaro, which has been challenging the pony car since then.

Both muscle cars are currently in their sixth generational cycle. Entry level mustang has a 2.4-liter inline-4 which produces 300 hp, which is 25 hp more than what you get from entry level 2.0-liter inline-4 Camaro. Both coupes have rear wheel drive drivetrain and get at least 30 mpg on the highway.

Dimensions are somewhat similar. Despite having a shorter wheelbase, Mustang offers more room in first row seats.

Chevy Camaro is priced from $25,700, which is in the same range with Mustang's starting price of $24,145.
