Audi A5 B9 versus Audi A5 B8 Facelift

Audi has put a lot of words in critics' mouths with the introduction of the second generation A5 coupe.

At first sight the new A5 looks like a facelift over a facelift, especially looking at the silhouette, which seems not to have changed much. But of course - as it's usually the case in recent introcutions of updated model lines - the big change is not on the outside design, but rather in the interior, powertrain and components of the car.

Interior

U.S. powertrain and performance specifications aren't out yet, so we'll compare the exterior and interior designs. Interior has gotten a modern touch with an impressive 12.3-inch virtual cockpit, which combined with 8.3-inch MMI display and Apple and Android phone integration systems creates the perfect environment for a tech-savvy driver.

Exterior

The wheelbase has grown half an inch, making the overall length 1.8 inches more than the predeceasing model. But despite increase in length, the new A5 stands shorter and is narrower than the outgoing A5.
