Porsche’s all-electric sedan line adds another variation for the 2026 model year, and this one leans heavily on stealthy aesthetics and bundled equipment. Dubbed the 2026 Porsche Taycan Black Edition, the newcomer groups a larger 105-kWh Performance Battery Plus with a long list of comfort and tech items that would otherwise live on the options sheet. U.S. deliveries start in fall 2025, and while Porsche hasn’t disclosed pricing, expect a meaningful surcharge over the standard Taycan, Taycan 4, and Taycan 4S on which it is based.
Design that stays in character
The Black Edition doesn’t rewrite the Taycan’s familiar lines, but it does re-ink them. Porsche applies its SportDesign exterior package and swaps nearly every piece of brightwork—window surrounds, mirror caps, rear model script—for high-gloss black trim. Even the illuminated Porsche wordmark in the full-width taillight adopts the darker motif. A two-tone leather cabin in Slate Grey is also on the menu, and the Sonderwunsch program remains open for deeper personalization, should the standard Black Edition package prove too subtle.

For shoppers who want everyone to know they bought the Black Edition, Porsche offers an extended package that adds exterior door graphics, illuminated door-sill guards with the logo, and a matching key fob and leather pouch.
Where it fits in the Taycan hierarchy
The Black Edition treatment applies to the single-motor rear-drive Taycan, the all-wheel-drive Taycan 4, and the sportier Taycan 4S. Porsche hasn’t detailed horsepower or torque changes, so expect carry-over outputs: around 402 hp for the base car, 522 hp for the Taycan 4, and 562 hp for the 4S when launch control is engaged. Top speed should remain 143–155 mph depending on variant.

The 2026 Taycan Black Edition delivers exactly what its name implies: more black trim, more equipment, and more battery. Nothing here breaks new technological ground, but for buyers who would have spec’d many of these options anyway, the package could make financial sense—assuming Porsche positions it competitively.
