There's no doubt about it – GEMBALLA knows how to make super sports cars. And with the GEMBALLA GT – presented as a complete car based on the McLaren 650S – the traditional Leonberg-based car refinement specialist with manufacturer character commends itself once again as the first choice for sports cars with exciting body designs.
'Form follows function' – taking this statement as its motto, GEMBALLA dovetails the individual components in the aerodynamic package to match perfectly. The result is impressive styling with additional downforce for increased cornering speeds. To achieve this, GEMBALLA reworks the flanks and the rear of the McLaren and replaces production components with aerodynamically optimised lightweight ones. The striking side sills with partially visible carbon-fibre give the McLaren a lower and sleeker look. On top of this, the engineers at GEMBALLA have developed an elegant rear apron with an integrated diffuser to reduce the lifting forces on the rear axle. GEMBALLA makes all the body components with the "Made in Germany" quality mark from high-strength and ultra-light carbon-fibre material while paying special attention to easy reverse convertibility. To ensure this, the GEMBALLA aerodynamics package has been specifically developed for installation on the production fastening points.
Focal point of the GEMBALLA GT is the "GForged-one" lightweight wheels crafted in forged technology. The optional built-in Gunmetal, Black Magic or diamond cut-finished wheels clearly support the sophisticated look of the gullwing with their distinctive appearance. GEMBALLA wheels do not just benefit the look, however. The reduction in the unsprung masses and increased area of contact of the tyres also improve the driving dynamics and traction. The recommended wheel-tire combination is 9.0Jx20 inches with tyres measuring 245/30ZR20 at the front, and 11Jx21 inch rims, with tyres measuring 305/25ZR21 at the rear. In order to be able to give the increased wheel-tyre dimensions enough space, compared to the production version, GEMBALLA has fitted modified visible carbon-fibre inner wheel arches to the front axle.
The resulting improvement in agility and handling leaves room for even more performance. GEMBALLA brings its know-how into play at this point as well. Optimising the production control unit improves both engine power and performance. Once the McLaren 650S has been reprogrammed, it delivers 670 hp / 493 kW and generates a maximum torque of 728 Nm on the crankshaft.
The interior also has a lot to offer GEMBALLA customers. The Leonberg-based specialist for vehicle individualisation offers a rich programme to complement the existing, factory-made interior equipment programme. This ranges from personalised floor mats to fully bespoke leather interiors.
