The Carlsson CGL 45, based on the now petering out GL-Class and now available as a special Royale Last Edition model, offers real first class ambiance for every application. As an elegant statement on Vanity Boulevard, for daily use in heavy city traffic or on winding country roads – whatever your stage in life, the Carlsson CGL 45 Royale really shows off its assets. Shortly before the discontinuation of the base model, Carlsson has issued with the Royale a special, two-tone last edition model for the Chinese market. 30 vehicles will be manufactured in the Gut Wiesenhof automobile factory in the Saarland town of Merzig. It takes over 300 hours of hand craftsmanship in the in-house upholstery shop to re-cover all the interior parts with leather, according to customer specification and combining up to three different colors. The exclusive Carlsson Nappa leather, which complements the exterior body color, is enhanced by contrast stitching and appropriately colored wood.

In keeping with this, the vehicle will be offered in a two-tone painted finish. The customer can choose from 36 different color combinations. The Luxury SUV also features a complete aerodynamics kit with fender extensions, a 4-tube exhaust system with rear diffuser and LED daytime driving lights to the front. The weighty grill proudly bears the leaping horse, the registered brand logo of car manufacturer Carlsson, proudly carries the weighty grill. The exclusive 22-inch alloy rims likewise set new standards, as do the polished stainless steel grill inserts.

Underneath the long hood, a powerful V8 engine is hard at work providing a maximum power of 340 BHP. The Carlsson CGL 45 Royale has room for up to 7 people and, with its two-tone paint job, represents a statement of exclusivity in a Chinese upper class market that is focusing increasingly on individuality. “The Carlsson CGL 45 Royale Last Edition is in great demand among our eight current exclusive Carlsson partners in China. All models are already sold, and in spite of the introduction of the new model at the end of the year, we are set to achieve a new best sales value for the Carlsson CGL 45, with a 25% increase in sale,” said Markus Schuster, Managing Director of Carlsson Autotechnik GmbH.
