The i8 Roadster is just a new body version? We take a different view and are pleased that we too can continue the success story of the BMW i8 series with innovative AC Schnitzer special developments for the Roadster in terms of efficiency and sportiness.
Let's start with the suspension: by lowering the front and rear axles by 20 - 25 mm, the vehicle's centre of gravity is lowered, which significantly optimises driving stability in all cornering positions.
Especially in combination with the lightweight wheel set, which saves 4.4 kg in weight with the 21 inch AC1 Forged Lightweight Rims in BiColor or Anthracite developed especially for the i8 series, the lateral dynamics of the i8 Roadster also improve noticeably.
The aerodynamic conversion for the i8 is a complex work of art made entirely of carbon and developed strictly according to the "Form follows Function" principle: Front spoiler elements, centre front spoiler and carbon front side wings as well as side skirts and a carbon “Racing” rear wing ensure that driving pleasure can fully develop thanks to higher downforce values.
The AC Schnitzer aerodynamics range is rounded off by carbon door handle shells and mirror covers, AC Schnitzer emblems (160 mm) and the front grille for the BMW kidney, which is available in various specifications; also as “hot climate version”.
Aluminium pedals, footrest and the cover for the iDrive system controller as well as velours floor mats emphasise the lightness of the interior design and the elegant look of the i8 Roadster by AC Schnitzer.
Electric or hybrid drive - open or closed: the AC Schnitzer special developments for the BMW i8 Roadster increase dynamics through consistent lightweight construction and improve output values in every situation. We call this innovation 2.0.
