Re-Envisioning Power and Elegance: The 2012 ABT AS6 based on Audi A6

There's something truly distinctive about the number six, and it seems ABT Sportsline is aware of this allure. With the 2012 ABT AS6, based on the Audi A6, they have crafted a vehicle that gracefully intertwines power, comfort, and sporty aesthetics. Catering to both petrol and diesel enthusiasts, the AS6 brings an impactful performance boost and an air of sophistication, striving to be your trusty companion for all journeys, long and short.

An Exploration into Enhanced Performance

In this latest model, the ABT AS6 doesn't shy away from flexing its power. Tapping into ABT Sportsline's tuning prowess, it takes the base Audi A6 and amplifies its capabilities. The 3.0 TDI diesel engine, for instance, now boasts a high-torque, cultivated 282 HP (207 kW), a notable increase from the standard 245 HP (180 kW). ABT's tuning package, ABT POWER S, equipped with an additional turbocharger, further boosts this diesel variant to an impressive 310 HP (228 kW). As stated by the brand, this elevated torque allows the A6 to "cope playfully" with varying driving conditions, hinting at its flexibility and dynamic performance.

While the diesel versions have received their share of performance tweaks, the petrol engine is not left out. A promising 3.0 TFSI variant is currently in the works, targeting an ambitious 410 HP or 302 kW, up from the standard 300 HP (221 kW). With such ambitious performance goals, it's clear ABT Sportsline is devoted to extracting the most from these engines, transforming the A6 into a well-rounded sports car.

The car’s sides and front are accentuated by side skirts and a front spoiler, further underlining the athletic yet suave design language. As Hans-Jürgen Abt, the General Manager of ABT Sportsline, puts it, the A6 is an "extravagant, straightforward car, which doesn’t show off yet also doesn’t hide away."

Embellishing the Wheels

The ABT A6's appearance can be finely tailored with ABT Sportsline's alloy wheels. Available in sizes ranging from 19 to 21 inches, they are complemented by high-speed tyres. Regardless of your preference, each wheel style harmonizes with the ABT A6's classy-dynamic aesthetics, further enriching the car's visual appeal.
