S90 versus 5-Series

Volvo's all-new Mid-Size Luxury sedan is here, and it's ready to compete against the German domination of the segment.

The S90 resembles quite noticeable design resemblances with the, already old, BMW 5-Series. Comparing the exterior dimensions we note that the S90 is slightly longer and wider, but in the meantime has a shorter wheelbase and overall height, which have compromised the interior dimensions.

Compared to BMW's four, not counting M5, engines, Volvo only offers one 2-liter inline-4. Although depending on the tuning the power on S90 ranges from 250 to 316 hp, depending on the configuration.

As of now the S90 is offered only with all wheel drive system, and is impressively priced lower than the 5-Series.
